Wendy Michelle Stewart Powers, 61 of Ozark, Arkansas passed away, Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at her home with her beloved husband, Bill Powers, by her side. She was born April 2, 1965, in Apple Valley, California to John Keith Stewart and Judith Ann Stewart. Wendy’s love of the ocean was born during her childhood in California, where the Pacific coastline, salty breezes, and endless horizons filled her spirit with wonder. Later in life, Arkansas captured her heart with its mountains, forests, rivers, and natural beauty. From the California coast to the Arkansas mountains, Wendy carried a deep appreciation for the beauty and magic of the natural world. She possessed an extraordinary gift of magic—not the kind found in fairy tales, but the kind found in boundless love, compassion, and connection. As a Pagan Priestess, she was a respected and inspiring leader who touched countless lives with her wisdom, kindness, humor and unwavering love. She enjoyed celebrating Halloween, attending Renaissance Fairs, immersing herself in music festivals, and spending time in nature. Whether beside the ocean she loved from her California childhood or among the mountains and forests of Arkansas, Wendy felt most at home in the beauty of the natural world. She was preceded in death by her father, John Keith Stewart and her brother, James Darrell Stewart. Wendy is survived by her husband, Bill Powers; mother, Judith Hamblin; stepfather, Wayne Hutchinson; one daughter, Michelle McLain; one son, Justin Fidley and his wife Sara; one sister, Natashia Hutchinson Isenbarger; two brothers, Robert Stewart, Shannon Stewart and Wayne Hutchinson III; three grandchildren, William Findley, Kyle McLain, and David Bagley; an aunt, Linda “Auntie Lindy” Marshall; a cousin, Casey Marshall; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service may be set for a later date. Cremation arrangements were made under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home in Ozark.
