Violet Hazel Willis

Violet Hazel Willis, 99 of Oark, Arkansas passed away, Wednesday, November 12, 2025 in Oark. She was born February 28, 1926 in San Jon, New Mexico to Elbert and Faye Harmon Sherrell. Violet was of the Assembly of God faith and a member of the Assembly of God Church in Mountain Top. A dedicated Christian since childhood, she continued to share her faith and love with children and adults alike. She loved bringing the Bible to life with her stories for multiple generations. She retired from Clarksville Shoe Plant in Clarksville, Arkansas. Violet was a gifted seamstress, quilter, and a dedicated gardener who loved to share her talents and wares with others. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, Roy Denver Willis; two brothers, Brooklynn Sherrell and Carroll Sherrell; two sister, Elberta Freeman and Ramona Bailey; two grandchildren, Travis Willis and Donita Willis Howard; and two great grandsons, Nicolas Willis and Nathan Willis. Violet is survived by one daughter, Tressa Keith and husband Allen of Clarksville; three sons, Roy Dean Willis and wife Ethel of Oark, George Willis and wife Jeannett of Oark, and Tom Willis and wife Patty of Russellville, Arkansas; one sister, Bonnie Blevins of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; brother and sister-in-law, Levi and Aleta Willis of Clarksville; ten biological grandchildren and countless grafted-in grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 9:00 A.M., Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Shaffer Funeral Home, 2315 West Commercial Street in Ozark. Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Shaffer Funeral Home in Ozark, with Brother Greg Willis and Brother Robbie Willis officiating, with burial at Sherrellville Cemetery, County Road 4101 Oark, Arkansas.
