Raymond Fred Brunson

Raymond Fred Brunson, age 47, passed away on December 22, 2024 peacefully at his home in Ozark, Arkansas surrounded by family and friends. He was born to Robert and Judy Brunson in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on January 28, 1977. Raymond grew up near Greers Ferry lake in Greers Ferry, Arkansas with his family. As an adult Raymond found success as an electrical substation technician that resulted in his residency in South Dakota for many years before eventually returning to Arkansas where he settled in Ozark. His career took Raymond all over the continental United States, rising to the position of superintendent and eventually project manager. He was one of the best in the industry, training many men both young and old and had hundreds of projects under his belt. If you had the fortune of working alongside Raymond, you were expected to keep up with his pace. Many tried. Few could. His honesty and forward demeanor left little guesswork required. Raymond is preceded in death by his father Robert Brunson; his two children Robert Michael Brunson, Ella Norrita Brunson; two special uncles Buddy Cloos and Don Brunson; Aunt Norrita Brunson, as well as his father-in-law Doug Pekas. Raymond is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Pekas Brunson; his three beautiful children, Blake, Joe, and Whitley Brunson; his mother Judy Mayner Brunson; his brother Joe Brunson along with his wife Brittany Mainer Brunson; his sister Norrita Brunson Langston and her husband Robert Langston; his mother-in-law, Jody Pekas; brothers-in-law Michael and Darren Pekas; sister-in-law Megan Pekas Fetch and Ted Fetch; nieces and nephews include Brunson Langston, Riley Langston, Sloane Brunson, Ava Brunson, MaKenna VanLishout, Jaycee VanLishout, Tucker Fetch, and Vada Fetch. His Special Friends Jeff and Sarah Lively, Aunt Susan Cloos, John and Janet Barnes, Susan Pelz, Cole Verser, Ervin Morse, Frank Darling, Rob and Peggy Eckert, Jay Weaver, Jordan Johnson, Katie Brock, Dalton Estep, Derrick Estep, and Weston Mize. Memorial service will be 10:00 A.M., Friday December 27, 2024, at Shaffer Funeral Home, 2315 West Commercial Street in Ozark, with Pastor Marty Crump officiating. Cremation arrangements were made under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home in Ozark. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Lively, Frank Darling, Rob Eckert, Robert Langston, Cole Verser, Michael Pekas, Weston Mize, Joe Brunson and Ervin Morse.
