Judy Dianne Brunson

Judy Dianne Brunson, age 76, of Ozark, Arkansas passed peacefully at home surrounded by her beloved family, Thursday, March 27, 2025. She was born September 17, 1948 in Altus, Arkansas to Raymond Mayner and Mavis Toghill Mayner. Judy was of the Church of Christ faith. She was a loving daughter, devoted wife, cherished mother, and doting grandmother. Her life was marked by her unwavering devotion to family and her passion for education. Judy dedicated 39 years to the field of education, first as a math teacher and then as a counselor, where she touched countless lives and made an impact on those she worked with. Her passion for teaching extended beyond the classroom, always offering guidance, forthrightness, and wisdom to anyone who needed it. Judy loved to read, travel with her sister, Susan Cloos, spend time with family, and spending many peaceful hours attending services at the Ozark Church of Christ, where her faith and community were an important part of her life. Judy is preceded in death by her father; husband of 56 years, Robert Brunson; one son, Raymond Brunson; one grandson, Robert Douglas Brunson; and one granddaughter, Ella Norrita Brunson. Judy is survived by her mother; one daughter, Norrita Langston and husband Robert of Marion, Arkansas; one son, Joe Brunson and wife Brittany of Ratcliff, Arkansas; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Brunson of Ozark; seven grandchildren that know her as “JuJu”, Brunson Langston, Riley Langston, Blake Brunson, Joe Brunson, Whitley Brunson, Sloane Brunson, and Ava Brunson; two sisters, Heather Wright and Susan Cloos both of Ozark; and two brothers, Christopher Mayner and Grant Mayner both of Ozark. A family held private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements were made under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home in Ozark.
