David Roscoe Norris, II

David R. Norris II, 39 of Ozark, Arkansas, passed away in Fort Smith, Arkansas on September 26, 2014. He was Born on December 24, 1974 to David R. and Maria Letisia "Lety" Norris in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. David was of Christian faith and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Altus, Ar. He loved God, his Heavenly Father and accepted His Son Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. David loved nothing more in life than being a father to his children Lexi and Bo Norris, a step father to Caeden Speichinger, and a Husband to his loving wife Tabatha. He loved spending his time with his family and friends hunting, fishing, cooking out, watching football, and just laughing and having a good time. David was a skilled hunter and nicknamed by his friends and family as the "deer whisperer." Being out in the woods enjoying nature was where he found much joy, peace, and happiness. He was a welder and enjoyed building and fixing things with his hands. He worked at Butterball in Ozark for 22 years with the Refrigeration Maintenance crew. David was a 1993 graduate of Ozark High School and a member of the 1992 Ozark Hillbilly Football State Finalist Team. He was a proud supporter of the Ozark Hillbillies. He was preceded in death by his father David R. Norris of Ozark, his paternal grandparents Hubert R. and Betty Jo Norris, and his aunt Patricia Norris Kellerman, all of Jones, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife Tabatha Norris, daughter Lexi Norris, son Bo Norris, and step son Caeden Speichinger of the home. His mother Lety Salazar of Ozark, step father Edgar "O.J." Gray of Ozark, sister Jessica Brown of Branch, brother in law Kenneth Jason Brown of Branch, brother Nicholas Norris of Ozark, Sister Trenta Norris of Ozark, sister in law Jamie Norris of Ozark, maternal grandparents Juan and Maria Salazar of Ozark, Godparents Charlie Salazar and Margarita Jacoby of Ozark, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in laws, and dear friends. A Rosary Service will be held at Shaffer Funeral Home in Ozark, Arkansas, Wednesday October 1, at 6:00 p.m. and the Funeral Service will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Altus, Arkansas, Thursday, October 2, at 10:00 a.m. Pallbearers are Roy Honea, Phillip Bono, Donald Farmer, Keith Williams, Brian Williams, Peck Hayes, Daniel Tull, and Charlie Salazar.
