Melba Williams, 92, of Denning, Arkansas died Saturday, February 8, 2020 in Ozark. She was retired from Cargill after thirty plus years and a member of United Pentecostal Church of Altus. She was born April 26, 1927 in Murphy, Oklahoma to Ernest and Pearl Mitchell Gilbert. She was preceded in death by her husband, Riddle Williams; her parents, Ernest and Pearl Gilbert; one brother, Howard Gilbert; two sisters, Kathern Gilbert and infant sister, Wanda Gilbert. Survivors include two sons, Ronnie Lee and wife Teresa and Paul Lee and wife Claudia, both of Denning; two brothers, Joel Gilbert of Ozark and Bill Gilbert and wife Sharon of Dyer, Arkansas; a sister-in-law, Wanda Rice of Altus, Arkansas; a brother-in-law, Paul Williams and wife Bertha of Ozark; six grandchildren, Wesley Lee of Russellville, Arkansas, Latisha Crabtree and Denver Lee, of Denning, and Stacie Howe, Michael and Cody Lee of Ozark; and fourteen great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Altus United Pentecostal Church with Brothers James Larabell and Sammy Alverson officiating and burial at Highland Cemetery in Ozark under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday, February 10th at Shaffer Funeral Home, 2315 West Commercial Street in Ozark. Serving as pallbearers are Jacob, Corban, and Evan Crabtree, Caden and Corbin Howe, Dragan Lee and Jared Gilbert. Honorary pallbearers are Wesley, Denver, Michael and Cody Lee, Michael Crabtree, Gary Howe and Josh Gilbert.
