Marti Sue Samarin Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Martha (Marti) Sue Samarin, age 68 of Altus, Arkansas, went to be with Jesus Sunday, February 21, 2021 in Altus. She was a nurse’s aide and worked in food services for Ozark School District. She was a believer in Jesus Christ and a member of West Park Baptist Church in Ozark. Marti was born June 1, 1952 in Riverside, California to Frank and Marjorie Rees Lane. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Gabriel Alex Samarin. Marti is survived by her husband of 52 years George Alex Samarin of Altus, five children; Sue Milam of Altus, Sharie Diaz and husband Rosendo of Russellville, Arkansas, George Alex Samarin Jr. of Altus, Joe Samarin and wife Alisha of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Sadie Qualls and husband Randall of Altus, one sister; Marilyn McCollum and family, two brothers; Frank Lane and family of Henderson, Texas, Jim Lane and family of Ozark, 14 grandkids; Summer, Alejandro, George, Tyler, Dakota, Haley, Alex, Alexis, Simon, Ruthie, Josie, Robert, Randy, and Eli, and four great grandkids; Angelina, Arabella, Asher and Briella. Visitation will be from 5 PM to 7 PM Thursday, February 25, 2021 at West Park Baptist Church in Ozark, Arkansas. Funeral service will be at 10 AM Friday, February 26, 2021 at West Park Baptist Church: 500 N. 29th St. in Ozark with Frank Lane, Jim Lane, and Randall Qualls officiating and burial at Greenwood Community Cemetery under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers are her grandkids. Honorary pallbearers are her great grandkids.
