Jerry Lee Gaines, age 85 of Ozark, Arkansas died Wednesday, February 3, 2021 in Paris, Arkansas. He was a retired car salesman, mechanic and a member of the Faith Pentecostal Church. He was born October 30, 1935 in Ozark, Arkansas to Ernest and Rose Sears Gaines. He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Nellie Newton Gaines; and three brothers, Ernest Gaines Jr., Glen Gaines and Carl Gaines. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Brison Gaines of Ozark; a daughter, Peggy Gaines of Ozark; a stepson, Tom Owens and wife Brenda of Ozark; a stepdaughter, Mary Lynn Dickerson and husband Charles of Ozark; a sister, Adelle Sanders of Ozark; two grandchildren, Melody Braun and A.J. Braun of Ozark; and one great grandchild, Maddixx Braun of Ozark. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Shaffer Funeral Home with Brother James Jones officiating, with burial at Williams Cemetery under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. Open viewing will be held from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday, February 5, 2021 at Shaffer Funeral Home 2315 West Commercials Street, Ozark. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tom Owens, Thomas Owens III, Steve Sanders, Charles Dickerson, Bobby Qualls and Darrell O’Neal.
