Herbert S. Privette, 86, of Ozark, Arkansas, died Monday, November 2, 2020 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He worked for Wiederkehr Wine Cellars for many years and also was head of security for Holiday Inn Fort Smith, and was of the Christian Faith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving on aircraft carriers during the Korean Conflict. Herbert was born to Oscar Dudley Privette and Zora Plaxco Privette July 27, 1934 in Alba, Texas, and was of Christian faith. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Chase Morland. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Privette of Ozark; two daughters, Mary Kay Kenney of Altus, Arkansas and Cheryl Lynn Sory of Magazine, Arkansas; four sons, Damon Morland of Van Buren, Arkansas, Glen Ray Privette of Denning, Arkansas, Aaron Privette of Altus and William Michael Bohard of Lexington, Oklahoma; one brother, O.D (Sonny) Privette of Oregon; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. A family held memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements were made under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
