Glen Edmond Whitson, age 98, of Mulberry, Arkansas died March 11, 2021 in Ozark, Arkansas. He was a member of the Rehoboth Missionary Baptist Church. Glenn was a World War II Veteran and severed in the United States Army Air Corp as a machinist. He also served in the Civilian Conservation Corps. He was born January 18, 1923 in Ozark to Dennis and Bertha Moon Whitson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ellen McCabe Whitson; a son, Timmy Whitson; three brothers, Dennis Jr., A.T. and Coy Whitson; and three sisters, JoAnn Graf, Colleen Hanson and Melva Harris. He is survived by two sons, Ben Whitson and Dan Whitson of Mulberry; a daughter Belinda Altamirano; one brother, Bobby Whitson; two sisters, Anna Jackson and Paulette Booth; nine grandchildren, Tim Jr., Chris and Marcell Whitson, Tammie and Misty Andrews, Roger Altamirano, Ryan, Conner and Chris Whitson; and numerous great grandchildren. Family held Memorial Service will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at the Fort Smith National Cemetery 522 Garland Ave, Fort Smith, Arkansas with Pastor Terry Pickrell Officiating. Cremation arraignments were made by Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Glenn’s honor to Rehoboth Missionary Baptist Church 3032 Wire Road, Ozark. AR 72949
