Betty Jo Mainard Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Betty Jo Mainard, age 91, of Farmington, New Mexico died Monday, May 2, 2022 in Farmington with her daughters by her side. She had many talents, including golf, knowledge of words, love for the English language, a good crossword puzzle (in ink of course), solving the problems of the world, loving with her whole heart, a quick and sassy wit and left most she met with unforgettable and meaningful lessons. Betty was born March 25, 1931 to Ralph and Mildred (Moore) Johnson in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 50 plus years, James William Mainard Sr., they shared many travels, memories, adventures, and three children whom they loved dearly; one son, James William Jr.; and one brother, Ralph Johnson Jr. Betty is survived by two daughters, Janis Ford and husband Bob, Beverly Sharp and husband Rick; three granddaughters, Kara Thurston, Becky Ramer, Elyse Dye; one grandson, Matthew Dye and wife Casey; two step grandchildren, Reagan Ford and wife Sabrina, Bryan Sharp and wife Maddie; and nine beloved geat grandchildren, Bella, Zoe, and Ivee Thurston, Deegan and Kambria Reid, Ruby, Matea, and Evelyn Dye, and Asher Sharp; many lifelong friends and chosen family. One of Betty’s sayings her family will remember most is “who has more fun than us?” Her family asks that you never forget to have fun and laugh. Their Nana will be truly missed.
