Kassie Le’Ann Stover, 39, of Ozark, Arkansas earned her angel wings on Monday, April 27, 2026—but if you knew her, you know she probably showed up to heaven with a nickname for everyone and a little extra sparkle. Born August 5, 1986, in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Donald Lee O’Neal and Barbara Ann Smith O’Neal, Kassie was one of a kind. She had a smile that could light up a room—especially when that adorable dimple showed—and a personality you didn’t forget. If you met Kassie, chances are you didn’t keep your given name for long…she had a nickname ready for just about everyone, and somehow, it always fit perfectly. Kassie had a heart as wide and deep as the ocean she loved so much. She was drawn to the water, to music, and to anything that sparkled—glitter and shine were basically her signature. She didn’t just like to stand out…she was the light. She was a nurse not just by profession, but by who she was at her core. Kassie cared for her patients like they were family—bringing comfort, laughter, and sometimes a little sass when it was needed. She earned her associate’s degree in nursing and later became a certified dementia practitioner, pouring her heart into every person she helped. If there was music playing, Kassie was in it—singing, dancing, or picking up her guitar. She especially loved Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks—the kind of music that felt a little magical, a little free-spirited…just like her. You could easily imagine her singing along, probably adding her own flair and a little sparkle to every note. She loved fishing, riding through the mountains, and making memories with the people she loved most. And her dogs—June, Dolly, and Daisy—were her babies, spoiled and adored every single day. Kassie was preceded in death by her great paternal grandparents, Clemia and Mini Tillery; great maternal grandparents, Elmer and Lucy Bowman; uncle, Gary O’Neal; aunt, Cheryl Vosburg; and cousin, Tandy Stark. She leaves behind a family who will forever carry her sparkle: her husband, Ryan Anthony Stover; her father, Donald Lee O’Neal; her mother, Barbara Ann Smith; her sister, Brandy Rinke and husband Bryan of Alma; her niece, Arabella Rinke; her nephew, Weston Rinke; maternal grandparents, Roy and Lou Smith; paternal grandparents, Billy and Lottie O'Neal, along with a whole crew of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends—many of whom are probably still answering to the nicknames she gave them. Kassie didn’t just live life—she lit it up. She loved big, laughed loud, and made sure the people around her felt seen, special, and maybe just a little more fun. Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at Shaffer Funeral Home, 2315 West Commercial Street in Ozark. Graveside service will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Mountain View Cemetery in Ozark, Arkansas, with Brother Orla Larsen officiating, with burial at Mountain View Cemetery.
