Grasha May Morris Sisk

Grasha May Morris Sisk, age 77, of Cecil, Arkansas passed from this life Friday, April 25, 2025 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born on December 28, 1947, in Paris, Arkansas to Roy and Gerladine Adams Morris. Grasha was of the Church of Christ faith and a member of the Coal Hill, Arkansas Church of Christ. She went by many titles to a lot of people, Mom, Ma’bell, Mama, Mamaw, Nanna, Nanna from Arkansas, Ms. Grasha, Ms. Sisk, and Grasha, but most importantly, you could put Christian at the top of the list. She was a virtuous woman, that was brought up in a strict home. A true Coal Miner’s daughter. Grasha was a stay-at-home wife and for a while, stay-at-home mother. She made sure and attended everything she could with her children’s activities, even when she began working. Grasha started working as a beautician. Worked as an office manager in the Oktaha Water district and at the Wolf Fingers restaurant in Oktaha, Oklahoma. She later worked in savings in loan business and then landed a job with Phoenix Federal in Muskogee, Oklahoma, where she became a manager of the loan department. Later in life she worked at Western Arkansas Youth Shelter driving kids to and from appointments. She was a member and president of the American Business Women’s Association and started a scholarship program for young aspiring business women. When Grasha started having grandchildren, whatever activities they were involved in, she was always involved and/or present. Grasha was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Larry Sisk; her parents; one brother, Morgan Morris; and one sister, Mottrie Knight. Grasha is survived by one daughter, Alison Ward and husband Jeff of Muskogee, Oklahoma; one son, Ben Sisk and wife Kathy of Cecil; one brother, George Morris and wife Jeannie of Claremore, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Stacey Ward and wife Jaclyn of Boynton, Oklahoma and Gabby McChristian and husband Colton of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; and four great grandchildren, Aspyn, Rayna, Taylin, and Pearl. Memorial service will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel, 2315 West Commercial Street in Ozark, with son Ben Sisk officiating.
