Anthony "Tony" Jack Wilson

Anthony “Tony” Jack Wilson, 58, of Alma, Arkansas, went home to be with the Lord on November 7, 2025 in Houston, Texas. He was born September 23, 1967 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to John Franklin Wilson and Shirley Pauline Nichols Wilson. Tony lived a life full of laughter, love, and service to others. He proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force and later worked at Arkansas Valley Electric for 19 years, where his dedication and work ethic left a lasting mark. Outside of work, Tony’s joy for life was evident in everything he did. He loved camping, video games, and especially sports cars—he was an active and enthusiastic member of the Corvette Club, where his humor and friendly spirit made him a favorite among friends. He served on multiple boards throughout Sebastion, Crawford, and Franklin County. He loved community involvement and watching them grow. He was the president of the Ozark Rotary, Assistant District Governor, and a Paul Harris Member. Tony loved Jesus deeply and lived his faith through kindness, laughter, and a genuine love for people. He was a social butterfly who never met a stranger and had a gift for making everyone feel welcome. With a heart full of compassion and a smile that could brighten any room, Tony embodied positivity and a constant desire for growth and improvement in everything he did. Above all, Tony cherished his family. He adored being a husband, father, and “Pops,” and his greatest pride and joy were his grandchildren, whom he thought were simply the best. His smile lit up a room when they walked in. Tony’s life was a beautiful reflection of love, laughter, and faith. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him but will live on in the hearts and memories of those who were blessed to love him. He is preceded in death by his father, John Wilson; grandparents, Jack and Pauline Nichols; father-in-law, Wayne Carpenter; and one sister-in-law, Carrie Carpenter. Tony is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Jennifer Carpenter Wilson; two sons, Bryan Wilson and wife Kelsey of Alma and Brandon Wilson and wife Shea of Russellville, Arkansas; his five beloved grandchildren that were the light of his life, Reagan, Lukas, Skylar, Teagan, and Lincoln Wilson; his mother, Shirley Wilson of Ozark, Arkansas; mother-in-law, Mary Joyce Carpenter of Denning, Arkansas; one niece, Ceira Whitted and her husband Tanner; one great nephew, Riley Whitted; one brother-in-law, Gordon Carpenter of Gainesville, Florida; and one nephew, Gordon Carpenter Jr. of Gainesville. Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Friday, November 14, 2025 at Shaffer Funeral Home, 2315 West Commercial Street in Ozark. Memorial service will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Shaffer Funeral Home in Ozark, with Brother Randall Qualls officiating. Cremation arrangements will be made with Shaffer Funeral Home. Burial service will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, 522 Garland Street in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
